Master i rettssosiologi Rune Ellefsen avholder prøveforelesning over oppgitt emne: In the dissertation, the trajectory of the British animal rights campaigners Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty (SHAC) serves as a starting point from which to develop theories of the dynamics of social movement and the policing of conflict. In other words, the conflict between SHAC and Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS) serves as a starting point for Ellefsen’s analysis of the relationship between protest and protest policing. For his trial lecture the committee would like Ellefsen to assess how the theories, models and concepts he relates to and develops in the dissertation hold up to other cases of protest and protest policing.
