Welcome to this guest lecture by Akinaga Yoshida on how the Human Rights Committee can address human rights issues and ensure the effective implementation of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights in Japan. 

As part of the NCHR Guest Lecture Series, Current Issues in Human Rights Research, we welcome you to this lecture by Steven L.B. Jensen on "Social and Economic Human Rights, The United Nations and the Intimacies of International Law: A History".

As part of the Oslo Peace Days 2022, the NCHR gathered some of the world's foremost experts on labor rights in Domus Bibliotheca, for a discussion on the ever relevant issue of forced labour and modern slavery in global supply chains.  

A group of selected judges from across Indonesia attended human rights training at the NCHR at the end of February. Cold days in Oslo were filled with intensive lectures and discussions, to ensure a continued strengthening of human rights standards within Indonesia's judiciary.

For over 15 years, the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights has invited participants worldwide to attend the Intensive Course in Human Rights. During the first week of September this year, a group of attendees from various countries and professions filled the classroom with vivid and substantive discussions on human rights.

The Norwegian Centre for Human Rights (NCHR) works with the Bulgarian Ministry of Justice to build the capacity of Bulgarian universities in human rights legal education.
