Do you want to be a part of the faculty´s Vis Moot team?

The Faculty of Law is looking for students to represent the University of Oslo in the prestigious Willem C. Vis International Commercial Moot («Vis Moot») 2022/2023. Participation will give you international experience, meetings with talented fellow students, and improved writing and oral skills.

Vis Moot is the world´s largest international competition in arbitration. Every year around 300 teams from various law schools around the world takes part in the competition, and this will be the first time the University of Oslo takes part in the competition.  

The competition has both a written and an oral part. The work surrounding the written submissions will mainly take part in the fall of 2022, and the oral submissions the spring of 2023, concluding with oral rounds being held in Vienna.

The team will be coached by prominent lawyers within the field of international arbitration and commercial law, from the following law firms: BAHR, Haavind, Schjødt, Thommessen, Wiersholm and Wikborg Rein. In addition, the team will take part in lectures in international arbitration arranged by the faculty. Students will receive 10 credits for their participation under the subject JUS5040 – Moot Court
