Speakers:
Marianthi Pappa (Dr) is Assistant Professor in Law (specializing in International Law of the Sea and Energy Law), Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Nottingham, UK. Dr Pappa possesses a diverse background in legal practice and academic research. She has practiced law in Greece and Cyprus, consulting individuals and multinational corporations operating in the fields of finance and energy. She is the author of the book Non-State Actors' Rights in Maritime Delimitation (cambridge.org) (CUP, 2021). |
Nicholas Ioannides (Dr) is adjunct lecturer in international law at the University of Nicosia. Previously Nippon fellow at the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea. In 2020, he published a book entitled 'Maritime Claims and Boundary Delimitation: Tensions and Trends in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea.' (Routledge, 2020). |
Henning Dobson Knudsen is senior legal counsel and leader of the Law of the Sea and Maritime Delimitation Secretariat in the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. |
Kjell Kristian Egge is International Law Adviser in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A Career Diplomat since, he has held different positions in the Legal Department of the Norwegian Ministry for Foreign Affairs since 2003. Egge has worked extensively on Law of the Sea and Arctic Issues, including heading Norwegian delegations to various United Nations and Arctic processes. He is the Head of delegation to the ongoing UN BBNJ negotiations. |
