Lunch meeting: "International Legal Personality of the Individual"

Book launch - Astrid Kjeldgaard-Pedersen, Associate Professor, University of Copenhagen

For our planning, please register before March 5th

We welcome all to this lunch seminar where Associate Professor Astrid Kjeldgaard-Pedersen of the University of Copenhagen, will present key aspects of her latest monograph "International Legal Personality of the Individual". The monograph, which is recently published with Oxford University Press, offers a comprehensive study of the relationship between international legal personality as a theoretical construct and the way in which individuals have been taken into account in the practice of international law. It also provides a comprehensive overview of how individuals have been taken into account in international law as a matter of positive norms and challenges the existing narrative concerning the development of the role of the individual in the international legal system.

Astrid Kjeldgaard-Pedersen is affiliated with the Centre of excellence for International Courts (iCourts) at the University of Copenhagen and she has a broad publishing background in international law. She has also been a visiting researcher at the Department of Public and International law and we are of course very pleased to welcome her back to our Faculty for this event.
