POSTPONED! - Business model change: Actions following COP24 and the 2030 Agenda

Presentation by Hanna Ahlström, Department of Private Law.

In order to tackle our sustainability challenges, multi-actor collaboration have been put forward as an important process for change. We need business to contribute to securing the social foundation while staying within planetary boundaries - this needs to be a process of mutual learning and exchange of knowledge between multiple actors. Such an approach is more socially robust and solutions-oriented, and benefits more actors in society.

As part of the activities in the SMART Business Forum and the SMART Sustainable Governance Programme, we are arranging a workshop on organisational change where we will discuss drivers and barriers for companies to change their business conduct. This workshop will take place on 4 February and we will discuss processes ranging from smaller organisational changes to re-thinking the whole business model.

At this lunch talk Hanna Ahlström will present the results from the workshop in light of her recent work together with Sigurd Sagen Vildåsen, NTNU/Sintef and Amanda Williams, ETH.
