Policy coherence for sustainable European business and finance: Critical aspects in finance, international investment and corporate governance

Underpinning the study, which is the topic of this paper, are (a) main findings in regards to policy coherence, corporate governance and international investment and finance from the SMART project and (b) the SMART reform proposals developed in regards to business and financial market law.

Hanna Ahlström will present the methodology that consist of a qualitative content analysis with data from two sources: (1) Field notes taken during discussions at the workshop EU policy coherence for sustainable business and finance (September 2019, Brussels) and (2) autoethnographic accounts from the principal researcher. Hanna will also talk briefly about policy tendencies and potential additional reform proposals and suggestions that will be made based on this study.

The paper is co-authored with Beate Sjåfjell.
