In this seminar, Prof. Gideon Parchomovsky will present a paper about the use of auctions to allocate rights and access to natural resources, and to resolve decision-making problems when making public investments and allocating scarce resources. Furthermore, he will infer some normative guidelines for government auctions of e.g licenses to farm fish.
