Guidelines for replacing compulsory courses

PFF (Programme Committee for Research Training) has decided that PhD candidates who do not have a legal educational background or a PhD project based on law, can replace JUR9010 with an equivalent PhD course in social science at the University of Oslo.

It is only possible to replace JUR9010 with courses that have been pre-approved by the Faculty. For now, this only applies to the course SOS9008. SOS9008 will only replace JUR9010.

Please note that PhD candidates at the faculty of Law must apply for admission to the course by following the instructions for admission given by the Department of Sociology and Human Geography.
