About the group
Our interest areas include, among others, migration and refugee law (national, regional and international); institutional management of migration; categorization of different migrant populations; sovereignty and control; citizenship and statelessness; criminalization of migration; and participatory and decolonizing approaches.
Objectives
The Faculty of Law at the University of Oslo is home to an already large and still expanding milieu of researchers who work on different aspects of migration. The aim of this thematic group is to bring together and build on that expertise both with respect to research and teaching. We have regular meetings where we discuss cross-cutting issues related to migration and the challenges we face in researching and teaching the subject. The group is also open to external members.
Duration
The group is active for 3 years from 1 August 2022.
