Rettshistorisk lunsjseminar: Changing interpretation of the Ten Commandments and natural law in Denmark-Norway from 1536 to 1683

Phd-fellow Sjur Atle Furali, speaks about changing interpretation of the Ten Commandments and natural law in Denmark-Norway from 1536 to 1683.   

Phd-fellow Sjur Atle Furali, Faculty of Theology, UiO, examines how the interpretations of Decalogue and conceptions of natural law in Lutheran Denmark-Norway, changed between the reformation and the enactment of the Christian Vs Norwegian Code. Furali analyses both secular and ecclesiastical legislation and compares it to contemporary the interpretations of the Decalogue and the conceptions of natural law among 16th and 17th century theologians.
