EURNOR-lunsj: Heather Broomfield from Digdir - an overview of the history and current status of public sector data sharing regulation in Europe

The EU has been particularly active in the domain of public sector data sharing in recent years.

Heather Broomfield will provide us with an overview of the history and current status of public sector data sharing regulation in Europe, along with an introduction to the most relevant legislation, namely the Open Data Directive, the High-Value Datasets Implementing Act, and the Data Governance Act.

Heather is Senior Policy Advisor in the Norwegian Digitalisation Agency.  She combines this with a PhD fellowship researching responsible data-driven government at the University of Oslo, Department of Public and International law.

She has worked extensively on both the sharing and use of public sector data. She is a member of Norway's Law Commission for data sharing 'viderebruksutvalget' and serves on the  European Commission's Public Sector Information expert group.

The event is open to all interested.
