Background
Lars has a Norwegian law degree from the University of Oslo (2016) and an LL.M in "Information and Communication Technology Law" (2019) from the same university. Lars has worked at the intellectual property and technology department in SANDS law firm in Oslo from 2016 to 2021. Lars worked as legal counsel for a Norwegian medical software company named Dignio from 2021 to 2023. Dignio delivers digital medication support and remote patient monitoring to municipalities and hospitals across Norway.
Lars started as a doctoral research fellow at the Norwegian Research Center for Computers and Law in November 2023. His research focuses on questions regarding machine learning and automated medical decisions. His work is organized within an interdisciplinary research project named "RESPIRE" - Responsible Explainable Machine Learning for Sleep-related Respiratory. Disorders.
Lars also works with anti-discrimination law, and has previously researched the regulation of legal gender and the possibility of introducing a third legal gender option in Norwegian law.
