Taking stock and assessing the implications for the Norwegian financial markets.
This event organized by The Hague University of Applied Sciences and the University of Oslo will discuss the future of free movement vis-à-vis the formidable challenges that it is facing. It will bring together academics and practitioners with expertise in different fields of free movement law and will aim at analysing a number of major current issues that will shape the future of this discipline as outlined in the programme.
On 16 and 17 of November 2017 the Groningen Centre for European Financial Services Law (GCEFSL) in collaboration with the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS), University of London will hold an international roundtable conference on the topic ‘Financial Regulation and Civil Liability in European Law: Towards a More Coordinated Approach?’. It will take place at the West-Indisch Huis (Herenmarkt 99) in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
Each of the colloquium’s four session will be introduced by a paper. The main four speakers, Professor Kern Alexander, Professor Christos Hadjiemmanuil, Professor Olha Cherednychenko and Dr. Raffaele Dambrosio, will discuss the paper and the broader topic as a panel.
Højesteretsdommer Jan Schans Christensen vil innlede om dansk Højesterets arbeidsformer. Han vil se på formen på dommer og Højesterets forhold til EMD og EU-domstolen.

Finansmarkedsprosjektet ved Institutt for Privatrett (UiO) inviterer til en presentasjon og diskusjon av de viktigste endringene som foreslås i NOU 2016:22. Vi har gleden av å ha med oss Aksjelovutvalgets leder Tore Bråthen, Asle Aarbakke og Gudmund Knudsen som innledere. Vi har inviterert flere andre praktikere og kolleger til å kommentere. Etter presentasjonen og kommentarene åpnes det for diskusjon mellom deltakerne og publikum.

Wednesday 16 March 2016 at 18.45 in the Old Library, All Souls College, Oxford, with a drinks reception in the Harold Wilson Room, Jesus College, Oxford. Organized jointly with the Institute of Private Law, the Faculty of Law, the University of Oslo.
The purpose of this seminar is to enquire into the behaviour of financial markets. It will assess to what extent financial markets comply with ethical norms and fulfill a positive role for society, in light of the global financial crisis. The seminar will shed new light on the reality of financial markets and businesses in our globalized economy. It will identify best practices as well as crucial areas that deserve more debate in the public arena and political reforms.

The conference will focus on recent developments concerning trade and foreign investment in the European Union. In particular, it will explore the extent of EU competence in the field of the CCP, the residual role of the Member States in respect of trade and investment, and the coverage and structural issues of future EU investment agreements.
This conference on the form of judgments and judicial reasoning focus on the interaction of courts, and the impact on international and European law.

Seminar i Finansmarkedsprosjektet. Styrets nektelse av samtykke til overdragelser av aksjer er ofte omstridt i praksis. Høyesteretts dom i Stangeskovene reiser spørsmål om det er en rettsutvikling der styrets nektelse og begrunnelsen for den blir gjenstand for mer intens prøvelse fra domstolenes side. Gudmund Knudsen, Anders Ryssdal og Asle Aarbakke har spilt sentrale roller i sakene om samtykkenektelse.
Finansmarkedsprosjektet i samarbeid med Europarettsforeningen ved Juridisk fakultet arrangerer seminar.
Professor Ingeborg Schwenzer, Basel kommer til Oslo i september og alle inviteres til et seminar onsdag 11. september kl 14.15 i DN 709 Aud 7. Hennes tema er "Regional and Global Unification of Contract Law". Ingeborg Schwenzer er en ledende autoritet i sammenlignende privatrett. Hun ble utdannet som tysk jurist og har i mange år vært professor i Basel.
