Animal law is a fast-growing international research field. The Norwegian Forum for Animal Law is a network of researchers and practitioners who work on questions related to the legal regulation and protection of animals. The forum is inclusive and interdisciplinary, and we welcome different perspectives and research agendas.
The launch event will last for two days. The first day is an open seminar with talks by some of the leading researchers in the field and plenty of time for discussion. The second day will be a text lab for researchers and MA students.

9 November: Text lab
The text lab is a half-day workshop for researchers who would like feedback about texts on the topic of animal welfare, broadly speaking. Researchers from all disciplines are welcome, as are MA students.
The text lab is intended as a positive space in which to develop academic texts at different levels and stages in the writing process. We will exchange texts in advance and give each other tips and advice.
The texts can be in English or in any Scandinavian language, and they should not exceed 20 pages (not including references). After we have discussed our texts, we will have lunch together.
The text lab will take place at the Faculty of Law. Exact location TBA.
Registration
The text lab is open for up to twelve participants.
Sign up to the text lab and send us your draft no later than 25 October.
If you wish to send us your text later, kindly email it to Elisabeth Neuhaus no later than 25 October.
The event is financed by The Research Council of Norway (Network Funding for Research Groups Following the Evaluation of Legal Research in Norway). Project number: 341945.
