Nigeria’s 190 million inhabitants are widely known for their entrepreneurial spirit yet remain constrained by crime, corruption and conflicts that undermine law and order. Nigeria continues to be the most common nationality of migrants crossing the Mediterranean Sea into Italy, often as irregular migrants. While we have witnessed some political progress in the last years, roadblocks to democracy as well as law and order remain at all levels of government. What should be done to tackle them?

This seminar will examine some of the challanges facing Nigeria today.
