Challenges of being a critical and useful migration scholar

MIGMA researcher May-Len Skilbrei has a blog post on Border Criminologies on her experiences on maneuvering in a tricky research field.

Professor, and project leader of MIGMA - Transnationalism from above and below, has just released the blog post "Manoeuvring in Tricky Waters: Challenges in Being a Useful and Critical Migration Scholar" on the renowned network Borger Criminologies' blog. The network is based at the Centre for Criminology at the University of Oxford.

In it, Skilbrei, who has published extensively on the regulation of mobility, gender, and sexuality, shares her thoughts and experiences on how to be a useful and critical scholar. She also reflects on what type of ethical and epistemological consequences we see with the push for research to have a greater societal impact.
