January 4th, 2011:

We are now planning the next Scandinavian Studies of Confinement research network seminar. The plan is to hold the next meeting at Linnaeus University, Växjö, Sweden, between the 21st and 23rd of November 2011. We encourage you to book these dates and please send us an e-mail by the 15 of February at the latest to let us know whether you like to attend or not so as we can start to plan.

April 23rd, 2010: Half day seminar with Lorna Rhodes in Copenhagen

The Rehabilitation and Research Centre for Torture Victims (RCT) in Copenhagen will host a seminar with professor Lorna Rhodes (University of Washington) on april 23rd. Rhodes is author of Total confinement : madness and reason in the maximum security prison. Those interested should contact Andrew M. Jefferson at RCT (contact info on our main page).
