Legal Norms - ensuring the right to education

Logistical information

1) At the airport:

You should have little trouble finding your way at the airport. But you can find a map of the terminal and general information about the airport at this website:
http://www.osl.no/en/osl/frontpage

2) From the airport to the city:

We would recommend you take the airport shuttle train, called the Airport Express Train (Flytoget). It leaves from inside the Oslo Airport terminal building, 70 meters to the right after leaving the custom area in the arrival hall. The train takes you to the main railway station, Oslo Central Station, and leaves every 10 or 20 minutes, depending on the time of day. The charge is 170 Norwegian Kroner (NOK). All major credit cards are accepted.

If for some reason you do not take the airport shuttle train, all southbound regional trains will take you from the airport to the central railway station. But the regional trains travel slower, and they do not accept all credit cards.

For more information about the airport shuttle train, see:
http://www.flytoget.no/eng

3) From the central railway station to your hotel:

Our foreign invited speakers will be staying at the Hotel Savoy, which is located one block away from the conference venue.

The hotel is within walking distance from the railway station if the weather is nice and you know your way. But if you don't know the city you should perhaps take at taxi.

You will find the taxis on the shore side of the station. This will be your left hand side when you leave the train. (You don't have to enter the station building, just leave the platform and look forward/left, and you will see the taxis.)

The address of the hotel is:
Clarion Collection Hotel Savoy,
Universitetsgaten 11
0164 Oslo
Phone: +47 23 35 42 00
E-mail: cc.savoy@choice.no

4) The conference venue:

The conference takes place in the University building called Domus Nova, in room 770 (7. floor)

The address is:
Domus Nova, St. Olav square 5, 0130 Oslo

The most convenient entrance to the building is from the square with the "artsy" hanging sculpture (- you will understand when you see it).
