Launch of EDOLAD programme

On January 21 2015, six partner universities are launching a European Joint Doctorate Programme in Law and Development – EDOLAD. The launch is followed by a two day Conference on “Engaging with Law and Development: Perspectives on Land”.

The Faculty of Law, University of Oslo, has partnered with Tilburg University (Netherlands), Edinburgh University (UK), Tartu University (Estonia), Deusto University (Spain) and North-West University (South Africa) in order to offer a specialized doctoral programme for PhD candidates in the field of law and development. By combining a core curriculum with skills training and a compulsory fieldwork element, stakeholder communication training and induction into a network of programme stakeholdes, EDOLAD creates a unique innovation in research education in this field.

The formal launch of the programme will take place in Edinburgh on January 21, and will be followed by a two-day conference Jan 22-23 on the topic “Engaging with Law and Development: Perspectives on Land”.
