Conference: The transformation of international law and Norwegian sovereignty in 1814

This conference is a part of "The transformation of international law and Norwegian sovereignty in 1814", a research project at the Center for Advanced Study at the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters.

The purpose of the seminar is discuss from the perspective of public international law, the historical process in relation to Norway's transition from being one element of the Danish-Norwegian “whole state” to union with Sweden. The seminar will be diveded into the following three sections: The international legal structures/ Instruments and theory of international law/ Neutral and belligerent private property in the law of war.

The project "The Transformation of international law and Norwegian sovereignty in 1814" is lead by professor Ola Mestad and professor Dag Michalsen from the University of Oslo.

 

Venue: Lysebu Conference Center adress: Lysebuvn. 12. There are free parkingspaces for the participants.
