Norwegian Cargo Insurance

The first book published on cargo insurance in Norway is written by two professors at the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law in Oslo, Trine-Lise Wilhelmsen and Hans Jacob Bull.

It is mainly based on the Norwegian Cargo Conditions 1995/2004, but some comments on the English Cargo Clauses are also included. All main issues in the Cargo Conditions are discussed.

The book will be of interest for insurance companies, cargo owners, carriers, freight forwarders and lawyers working with insurance questions. It will also be of interest for students and academics within the field of insurance law.

The authors

Trine-Lise Wilhelmsen (b. 1954) is professor of law at The Faculty of Law, University of Oslo and head of the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law. Her primary field of expertise is insurance law; including maritime insurance law, maritime law and other transport law, and torts.

Hans Jacob Bull (b. 1941) is professor of law 1989-2011 at the Scandinavian Institute of Maritime Law, Faculty of Law, University of Oslo. His primary field of expertise is insurance law; including marine insurance law, maritime law, road transport law and petroleum law.
