In November Professor Emeritus Tore Lindholm and President of the Norwegian Buddhist Association, Egil Lothe, visited Myanmar as representatives of the Oslo Coalition on Freedom of Religion or Belief (OC).
The aim of the visit was to give lectures on Buddhism and Human Rights, including freedom of religion or belief at Buddhist universities in the region.
The visit was also intended to establish cooperation on teaching and teaching material on buddhism and human rights.
The OC representatives lectured at four universities in Myanmar and Thailand, and engaged in dialogue with another two.
