On 16 February, NCHR organized a webinar together with the OSCE ODIHR, the OSCE’s Police Academies Network (PAN) and the Association to Prevent Torture (APT). The webinar was about how to implement the Mendez principles legally, institutionally and practically. Approximately 40 participants from different OSCE PAN members participated.

For NCHR, the webinar marked the beginning of closer collaboration with OSCE ODIHR and PAN on how to implement the practice the Mendez principles on Effective Interviewing for Investigations and Information Gathering recommend.

During the webinar, Dr. Ivar Fahsing (NCHR) presented and discussed a case with the participants, and UNODC presented the forthcoming e-learning tool on investigative interviewing, which has been developed in collaboration with NCHR.
