Together with the UNODC, and representatives of police and the prosecution from across Asia, NCHR contributed to a successful regional meeting resulting in a number of recommendations for effective implementation of investigative interviewing.

For the first time, human rights academics and practitioners from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region were part of the annual training on UN Human Rights Mechanisms in Geneva. The workshop, jointly organized by the NCHR and Geneva Academy on 27-31 March 2023, aims to strengthen civil society by equipping selected academics with in-depth knowledge on how to utilize the UN human rights mechanisms in their home countries.
Leading judges from the six largest religious groups of Lebanon has recently endorsed a roadmap for including human rights standards in the work of the courts. This milestone follows a one-year pilot project in Lebanon, where the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights has facilitated workshops and round table meetings for judges and attorneys.
A group of selected judges from across Indonesia attended human rights training at the NCHR at the end of February. Cold days in Oslo were filled with intensive lectures and discussions, to ensure a continued strengthening of human rights standards within Indonesia's judiciary.

The African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights adopted the resolution as a concrete measure to implement existing provisions for the prohibition of torture and cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment and the right to a fair trial during its 73rd Ordinary Session.
