This symposium will bring together scholars and researchers from various fields of social sciences, the humanities and law to share and exchange their experiences and research results with respect to the aspects of the limits encountered when striving to promote the right to Freedom of Religion or Belief.

The Oslo Coalition is planning an open lecture with Fr. Cyril Hovorun, Professor of Theology and Orthodox priest from Ukraine. He will discuss how religion has become politicized in Russia and how Orthodoxy is shaping politics and political theology in Russia and Eastern Europe.
Oslo Coalition's second book in the series on new directions in Islam is now released. The book Gender and Equality in Muslim Family Law: Justice and Ethics in the Islamic Legal Tradition was launched with a panel discussion and reception at SOAS in London on April 27, 2013, in cooperation with the Centre of Middle Eastern and Islamic Law (CIMEL).
