Human Rights Education in Indonesia
Through cooperation with Indonesian universities, in particular the Centre for Human Rights Studies at the Indonesian Islamic University (Pusham UII) Yogyakarta, the Indonesia Programme aims at contributing to a more advanced and comprehensive human rights education in Indonesia.
Together with Pusham UII the Indonesia Programme has targeted law lecturers since 2002.
An increasing number of Indonesian scholars have enhanced their knowledge of human rights through the Programme's activities. Since 2010, participants from the faculties of social sciences, humanities and sharia law are also admitted to the trainings.
Research and Capacity Building in Norway
The programme also conducts research and capacity-building activities in Norway. This includes facilitation of research visits from Indonesian academics, scholarships to Indonesian master students, trainings for Indonesian civil servants, and occasional activities targeting stakeholders in Norway.
