The NCHR seeks to support the development of a Vietnam governed according to the rule of law and human rights, and collaborates with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to strengthen human rights and peace education in Asia.
The NCHR also collaborates with VNU in research on police standards. The NCHR is continuing its support for Vietnamese civil society's human rights courses and campaigns, and a course module in interrogation techniques respecting human rights is being established at police education institutions in Vietnam.

The NCHR works to strengthen human rights and peace education in collaboration with SHAPE-SEA (ASEAN) in Southeast Asia, and promotes human rights research.
Rule of Law
This NCHR's activities in Vietnam evolves around upholding the presumption of innocence and promoting Investigative Interviewing methods for the police.
Human Rights Mechanisms
Experts from the NCHR and the South East Asia Human Rights Network are providing inputs regarding a possible future regional human rights mechanism in ASEAN.
Business and Human Rights
NCHR has contributed to studies on Norwegian companies' behavior in Vietnam in light of corporate social responsibility and UN guidelines for business and human rights.
