Marie Hulthin is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights (NCHR). Marie’s field of interest is related to the dynamic of international gender equality norms, women’s human rights and intersectional approaches to equality and non-discrimination. Her research explores the impact of the state reporting process under the UN Women’s Convention (CEDAW) on anti-discrimination law and gender equality policies in a Nordic context.

Marie has worked with gender perspectives and gender balance in research for several years at "Kilden", a knowledge centre at the Research Council of Norway (RCN). From 2022-2033, Marie worked at the secretariat for the Women’s Health Commission at the Norwegian Ministry of Health and Care Services.
