Professor Gentian Zyberi of the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights has been appointed as a member of the Scientific Committee of the EU Fundamental Rights Agency (FRA) for a non-renewable 5 year mandate, for the period June 2023 – June 2028.
The 40th edition of the Jean-Pictet Competition took place between 24 February and 4 March 2023, in Durrës, Albania. The team from the University of Oslo reached the semi-finals for the second time.
The NORHED II Project 70921: Partnership for Peace: Better Higher Education for Resilient Societies (NORAD) and the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights invite applications for a PhD-level course to take place in person in Oslo, on 23- 25 October 2023. Expenses for the selected participants from the partner institutions will be covered under the Norhed II project.
Maria Leal Lillo, who is a graduate of the Human Rights in Theory and Practice Master’s programme, was recently awarded for her thesis on rights awareness in circular migration. The competition marked the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
