"Conflict Trends", PhD-Level Course organized by The Research School on Peace and Conflict

The Research School on Peace and Conflict held the PhD online course "Conflict Trends" from 27 September – 1 October 2021. ​The course was organized in the context of the NORHED II project, Partnership for Peace: Better Higher Education for Resilient Societies.

About the Course

This course offered an overview of conflict trends based on large conflict datasets on conflict-related variables. It provided a better understanding of the larger global trends in the world such as level and type of conflicts, the geography and demography of conflict, and protests and mobilization. In addition, it explored the Colombian conflict through survey data. 

The course is valid for 5 ECTS study points and the assessment of participants was based on a written essay.
