Academics and experts from around the world met for two days at the Faculty of Law to discuss ongoing research, possible solutions, and strategies to protect individuals' and communities' human rights from the planetary challenges of climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution.

The NORHED II Project 70921: Partnership for Peace: Better Higher Education for Resilient Societies (NORAD) and the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights will organize this PhD-level course to take place in person in Oslo, on 23-25 October 2023.

Join us for the opening session of the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights (NCHR) 2023 Conference, where international and national key experts and stakeholders will share perspectives on how climate change, pollution, and loss of biodiversity affect the realization of human rights. 

Climate change, pollution and loss of biodiversity are serious threats to humanity. This conference focuses on how these issues affect the realization of human rights. 

Time and location: 26 - 27 October 2023 at the University of Oslo, Faculty of Law.

In this lecture, Professor Sam Adelman will discuss the right to self-determination and the need for a right to relocation and resettlement for citizens of small island developing states. 

The NORHED II Project 70921: Partnership for Peace: Better Higher Education for Resilient Societies (NORAD) and the Norwegian Centre for Human Rights invite applications for a PhD-level course to take place in person in Oslo, on 23- 25 October 2023. Expenses for the selected participants from the partner institutions will be covered under the Norhed II project.
