Barnerettighetsdagen skal være en møteplass for de som aktivt jobber med barn og unges rettigheter i hverdagen. Dette gjelder både akademikere, beslutningstagere og praktikere. Deltagerne på barnerettighetsdagen skal få et enda mer bevisst forhold til barnekonvensjonen, slik at de i sitt arbeid kan gjøre en forskjell for barn og unge.
